This website was created to share the history of the airports in the Montreal area. Montreal has a rich aviation history and it can be seen by examining how these airports work with eachother. Montreal is still very prominent in the world of aviation today, as they house the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) headquarters, as well as other prominent aircraft companies such as Rolls-Royce, Pratt and Whitney, and Bombardier. Montreal is the only citiy where it is possible to build a whole aircraft by manufacturing parts within a 100 kilometer radius. As stated before, Montreal has a rich aviation history, and the goal of the website is to share the history of our airports so others can see how aviation has played a role in the history of this city.
